Workplace Active Shooter Preparedness

The following Workplace Active Shooter Preparedness is designed to educate employees on active shooter incidents and how to properly prepare and respond.

What you will learn:

• Recognize what defines an active shooter incident and why these situations require rapid decision-making.

• Identify common warning signs and behavioral patterns that may indicate escalating risk or potential violence.

• Understand how to report concerning behavior and contribute to a safer, supportive workplace culture.

• Apply basic response strategies—such as escaping, securing in place, or defending yourself as a last resort—during an active threat situation.

Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course Length: 45 minutes.
