Understanding GHS in the Workplace

The following Understanding GHS in the Workplace is designed to educate employees on how to identify, interpret, and respond to chemical hazards using OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).

What you will learn:

• Hazard classification, including physical and health hazards

• Routes of chemical exposure and associated risks

• Acute and chronic health effects

• GHS label elements, including pictograms and signal words

• Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and their role in hazard communication

• Employer and employee responsibilities under OSHA standards

• Safe chemical handling practices

Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course Length: 30 min.
