  • Describe the key provisions of federal laws such as the False Claims Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Civil Monetary Penalties Law.

  • Recognize improper billing practices such as upcoding, unbundling, and billing for medically unnecessary or undocumented telehealth services.

  • Apply compliance strategies, including accurate documentation, internal monitoring, and reporting procedures, to prevent FWA in telehealth practice.

  • Identify conflict-of-interest risks in physician relationships with pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers, or business ventures.

  • Locate appropriate channels, such as the OIG Hotline, for reporting suspected fraud, waste, or abuse.
