The following Powered Industrial Truck Safety and Operator Awareness is designed to educate employees on how to safely operate powered industrial trucks by recognizing hazards, applying safe operating practices, and adhering to OSHA regulatory requirements.

What you will learn:

• Common causes of forklift-related incidents and associated risks

• OSHA requirements and operator responsibilities

• Types of powered industrial trucks and their appropriate uses

• Stability principles and safe load handling practices

• Safe operation, including travel, turning, and ramp procedures

• Workplace hazards, including pedestrian and environmental risks

• Pre-operation inspections and equipment safety checks

• Fueling, charging, and carbon monoxide safety

• Incident reporting and post-incident review
