The following Mini Healthcare Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) Training is designed to educate healthcare providers (HCP) on the definitions, legal standards, reporting obligations, and compliance responsibilities related to fraud, waste, and abuse within Federal health care programs to protect program integrity and prevent improper payments.

What you will learn:

• The differences between fraud, waste, and abuse, including required intent standards

• Examples of improper billing practices and common risk areas

• Key Federal fraud and abuse laws, including the False Claims Act, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute

• Provider responsibilities for accurate coding, documentation, and billing

• The role of compliance programs, reporting systems, and whistleblower protections in preventing violations
