Mini Cultural Competency and Disability Awareness

The following Mini Cultural Competency and Disability Awareness training is designed to educate healthcare providers (HCP) about the significance, principles, and standards of cultural competence, and provides awareness of disability inclusion and how to care for people with disabilities.

What you will learn:

• Cultural competency and how culture influences communication, trust, and care

• Disability awareness and the use of respectful, person-first language

• Practical communication strategies for working with patients and coworkers from diverse backgrounds and with different disabilities

• Inclusive practices that reduce barriers and support equitable, accessible healthcare for everyone

Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course Length: 8 minutes.
