The following HIPAA Training For Healthcare Providers course is designed to educate healthcare providers (HCP) and management on how to be compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This course outlines the privacy and security laws that prevent security breaches and ultimately, keep patient information safe.
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to:
- Apply HIPAA requirements when accessing, using, or disclosing protected health information while respecting patient privacy rights and organizational procedures.
- Respond to privacy or security risks by using appropriate safeguards and reporting suspected breaches according to established procedures.
