Hazardous Materials Emergency Response: Operations Level Readiness

The following Hazardous Materials Emergency Response: Operations Level Readiness is designed to educate employees on how to safely respond to hazardous substance incidents at the Operations Level by applying defensive response strategies, recognizing hazards, and following OSHA HAZWOPER requirements.

What you will learn:

• Purpose and scope of HAZWOPER and covered operations

• Roles and responsibilities of Operations Level responders

• Hazard recognition and sources of hazard information

• Routes of exposure and associated health risks

• Incident Command System (ICS) structure and emergency response planning

• Defensive response techniques, isolation, and scene control

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) levels and limitations

• Decontamination procedures and medical symptom reporting

• Worker rights and responsibilities under HAZWOPER

Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course Length: 1 hour.
