Foundations of Bloodborne Pathogen Safety

The following Foundations of Bloodborne Pathogen Safety is designed to educate employees on common bloodborne pathogens and protections for workers.

What you will learn:

• Identify common bloodborne pathogens and explain how they impact worker health and workplace safety

• Recognize how exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials can occur during routine tasks and unexpected situations

• Describe workplace protections, including OSHA requirements, personal protective equipment, and safe work practices that reduce exposure risk

• Explain the appropriate response steps following an exposure incident, including immediate actions, reporting, and access to medical evaluation

Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course Length: 45 minutes.
