The following Discussing Dementia Diagnosis Training is designed to educate healthcare providers (HCP) on how to provide a dementia diagnosis.
What you will learn:
- Points to address with persons who have a diagnosis of dementia
- Important issues to consider when discussing a dementia diagnosis with care partners
- HIPAA rules affecting the disclosure of a diagnosis of dementia to an individual’s family members, friends, or other care partner(s)
- When to refer persons living with dementia to a neurologist or geriatric psychiatrist
Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course length: 1 hour & 30 minutes.
