Comprehensive Substance Use Disorder Training

The following Comprehensive Substance Use Disorder Training is designed to educate healthcare providers (HCPs) on understanding the neurobiology, clinical features, and treatment approaches for substance use disorders, equipping them with the knowledge to recognize, assess, and respond effectively to patients affected by addiction.

What you will learn:

• The underlying neurobiology and clinical features that define substance use disorders as chronic medical conditions

• How to recognize and assess substance use through validated screening tools and patient-centered communication strategies

• Evidence-based approaches to treatment and recovery, including behavioral interventions, pharmacologic therapies, and integrated care models

• The role of healthcare providers in reducing stigma, supporting long-term recovery, and improving health outcomes for patients with substance use disorders

Once completed, you will receive a certificate of completion to verify you have finished the training. Course Length: 3 hour & 15 minutes; CME 3.25.
